OAT Made it to the General Elections!
We are excited to announce that we have made it to the General Election!
Michelle, Ted and the rest of the Oregon Action Team are excited and humbled by the support we have received from the student body. We are looking forward to working hard next week and to serving in office next year. We want to thank all of the candidates for their dedication to outreach and increasing student involvement. We also want to thank each and every Oregon Action Team candidate, we wouldn’t have reached the Generals without them, and to all of our volunteers who offered their time and energy we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude.

About Michelle & Ted

Michelle Haley
My name is Michelle Haley, and I’m from Junction City, Oregon. I have lived in Lane County my entire life, and I am proud to be a duck! I have one younger sister who is one of my best friends and is currently a freshman at LCC. I’m an English major with a minor in Business and a love of the arts. I have been a student employee at the UO Cultural Forum since the 2006-2007 school year, and have served on the EMU Board of Directors as an EMU Programs Representative, the House Committee Chair, and now the EMU Board Chair. I currently sit on ASPAC, and the EMU Long-Range Planning Committee which has given me the opportunity to study and advocate for the EMU MasterPlan. I also sit on the Oregon 2020 Initiative: Cultivating a Vibrant Community of Scholars Committee, and I chair the Oregon 2020 Student Council. I believe that Ted and I, and the rest of the Oregon Action Team, have the skills, experience, and the drive to follow through with our campaign promises, and I hope you give us the opportunity to work for you next year!
Ted Sebastian
Hello, I’m Ted Sebastian and I am so excited about this opportunity that just came into my life to run for Vice-President to serve the best interests of students. I am a native Oregonian, born in West Linn to parents from Oregon City and Clackamas high schools. I have four little sister’s ranging from age 7 to 20. My sister Rachel is a Sophomore here at the University. My hobbies include skiing, whitewater rafting, fly fishing, camping, and pretty much anything outside or with friends. I was Vice-President of my high school and lead the most successful canned food drive in school history. I worked on the executive staff with Sam and Johnny in the Fall and when a position opened up on the Athletics and Contracts Finance Committee, I jumped at the chance to take that opportunity. Through my position on the ACFC I advocated and voted on many issues surrounding students such as more football tickets and late night bus service on 79x. Please vote for me and the rest of these great people on the Oregon Action Team because we will accomplish the goals outlined in our platform. Thank you for taking the time to visit our page and please contact me if you have any questions!
